Goodbye to the dedicated fax line.

Once upon a time, we used a dedicated phone data line for our computers' dialup modems, fax machine, credit-card terminal and such. As with 35mm slides, the technology of the last millennium has gone by the wayside. Last year, we received all of one fax transmission; most of the time it was just wrong numbers. So — years overdue, actually — our fax line has been retired. Oh, our fax machine is still here, gathering dust in the corner; call us if you absolutely must send your purchase order by fax, and we'll hook it up.

New showreels posted!

With last month's IMERSA Summit as a catalyst, we created updated sampler showreels showcasing all the shows we currently have available. We played them on the dome at COSI during IMERSA... and now you can play them on your dome, too.

There are actually three showreels:

LNP Blast! — the feature-length shows we've made ourselves. These include such long-time and enduring favorites as our holiday show Season of Light, Larry Cat in Space, and 10 others.

LNP Collab Blast! — shows we've collaborated on with other producers, ranging from astronomy and oceanography topics to science explorations through art and music.

LNP Distrib Blast! — shows that we distribute for a wide range of producers from around the world.

They're available for download — so you can play them on your fulldome system and see how they look on your dome. Bring in your administrators and give 'em a taste of the shows you want to order next!

For instant gratification, they're available to preview online, of course — using the HD and 360 video players on our YouTube channel, or Flash players here on our site if your institution's nanny filters block streaming videos.

We're quite proud of all the shows, and particularly enjoy our work with others on their shows as collaborators. Whether we supply music and soundtrack expertise, script editing or voice-over work, we're incredibly pleased to work with such talented colleagues on fulldome production and distribution.

We're always on the lookout for other great shows we think should find a home in your dome. Our latest additions, EXPLORE from Creative Planet, and Dimensions — Once Upon Our Reality are some of the finest works we've ever seen. EXPLORE played to great acclaim at IMERSA, and we wowed the audiences at the Summit with the trailer for Dimensions.

Enjoy! And, send your purchase orders!

UPDATE — We posted a few more large-format showreels: 3200px fisheye, and Sp4096 slices for Digistar theaters with that config.

Our first new show for 2018!

Dimensions — Once Upon Our Reality

Can a question itself be more powerful than its answer?

Have you ever pondered the really big questions, such as "What is reality?" and "Is there more to the Universe than what we perceive with our senses"?

That's what media artists Rocco Helmchen and Johannes Kraas explore in their newest creation, Dimensions — Once Upon Our Reality, a scientifically inspired art and music fulldome show about the mysteries of time and space, the quantum universe, and the multiverse.

Loch Ness Productions was pleased to work with the producers on the English translation of this show (originally commissioned by the Planetarium Sternwarte Bochum in Germany). It's now ready for world-wide distribution, and should be of special interest to educators looking for creative STEM and STEAM programming.

Dimensions—Once Upon Our Reality invites audiences to let go, drift away, think big, have fun, and most of all, stay curious about physics, math, and more. It's an amazing and entertaining journey built on and inspired by science and discovery.

More info, previews and online ordering here!

For instant gratification, rent the show on FULLDOME OnDemand!

And get it for virtual reality viewing at VR Dome Theater!
