Fito Gato En El Espacio is a playful, imaginative cartoon presentation about an inquisitive cat who takes a trip to the Moon. Through Fito's eyes, we observe his human family, a group of enthusiastic sky-watchers. Fito notes how human time differs from cat time. Diana takes a job on the Moon, and sadly leaves Fito behind. Fito figures out a way to hide in her clothes trunk. The trunk and Fito are loaded onto the Space Plane, which takes him to space station Freedom.

From there, he is transferred to the Lunar Shuttle. During weightlessness, the trunk opens. Fito floats out into the cabin, and looks out the window. When Diana discovers Fito, he leaps to greet her, but sails over her head, since he only weighs two pounds in lunar gravity. He meets the rest of Imbrium Village's inhabitants, including the evil Commander Stone, who orders Diana to return Fito to Earth. The Moon base crew petitions to keep Fito, and the Commander relents. He even makes Fito a cat space suit. When Fito ventures outside, he spots the Earth, looking a lot like the Moon did from the porch at home.

Fito Gato En El Espacio is primarily targeted at grades K-3, although everyone loves an entertaining, fun story! Parents and children alike will enjoy the show, and learn something about the Moon, too!

Fito Gato En El Espacio es una película de caricatura muy lúdica e imaginativa de la historieta sobre un gato curioso que viaja a la Luna. A través de los ojos de Fito, observamos a su familia humana, un grupo de entusiastas observadores del cielo. Fito se da cuenta cómo el tiempo humano se diferencia del tiempo gatuno. Diana acepta un trabajo en la Luna, y se aleja con tristeza de Fito. Fito piensa en la manera de ocultarse en su baúl de ropas. Tanto el baúl como Fito son cargados dentro del avión espacial, y de esta manera llega a la estación espacial Freedom.

De allí, lo transfieren a la nave lunar. Durante ingravidez, el baúl se abre. Fito flota hacia la cabina, y mira por la ventana hacia fuera. Cuando Diana descubre a Fito, él salta para saludarla, pero pasa sobre su cabeza, puesto que él ahora pesa solamente dos libras en la gravedad lunar. Él conoce a el resto de los habitantes de la aldea de Imbrium, incluyendo al malvado comandante Stone, que le ordena a Diana enviar a Fito de regreso a la tierra. El equipo de la base lunar solicita retener a Fito, y el comandante acepta. Él incluso entrega un traje espacial de gato a Fito. Cuando Fito sale por ahi, el divisa la Tierra, la cual se parece mucho a la Luna que el veía desde su casa.
