VOLKER RÖHRS is Loch Ness Productions sales representative in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland for our classic planetarium show products.

Volker began his career at the first planetarium he'd visited (in 1968 at the age of 12), joining the staff of the Hamburg Planetarium after finishing school. He was an innovator in presenting American planetarium shows — using lots of slides, special effects and music — in both German and English, the styles of which were previously unknown to Hamburg audiences. In 1978, he opened the gift shop at the Hamburg Planetarium — the first in Germany — and today manages the gift shop of the Nürnberg Planetarium.

After leaving Hamburg, Volker studied computer science, and began a mail-order business, Spacebooks Etc., specializing in astronomy books and space-related items. He combines his enjoyment of travel with his planetarium enthusiasm by visiting many of the world's planetaria, and attending international and regional planetarium conferences.
